Together?I think so.I live in the Canadian north. I’m not in the city, so my skies don’t suffer from light pollution as much. Sometimes I go out at night and just look up. Often, I inhale and exhale a huge sigh, astounded by the beauty. If I’m really lucky, I might catch some Northern Lights.This experience always makes me feel more grounded, and, strangely, seen and loved.And I can carry that feeling for a long time. Sometimes until the next night.All I have to do is look up.I live in eastern Canada. I’m fascinated by the complex but minimal simplicity of the geography that surrounds me. I endeavor to capture its essence in my work. There is something mystical, contemplative, and spiritual in my art… because there is in the place where I live.Not matted and framed.
